People from miles around come to Callahan's Multi-Purpose Buiding at the intersection of US 1 and Musselwhile to take advantage of a unique opportunity.  Gleaners Dispatch of Jacksonville brings a mobile food bank to the town each Monday.  Intended for those who can't afford groceries, this program helps several hundred people each week. 



Dave Fountain, Founder and CEO of Gleaners Dispatch, is an ordained minister but does not "push" religion either here or at the weekly Wednesday dinners held at the same location.  He and others there will talk with visitors about God and His works but there's no requirements or "pushing religion down anyone's throat." 



All the workers who help the many visitors are volunteers, many senior citizens, while there are others of any age.
Gleaners always need volunteers at both the Monday event and the Wednesday dinners.  Contact them if you'd like to help.
