Megan Hall March 6 Driver of the Week

Callahan Speedway’s Driver of the Week for March 6 is Megan Hall, nine years old. She got her Go-Kart about the time Callahan Speedway began operating about a year ago. Megan is in the third grade at Callahan’s Sonshine Christian Academy.

Number 3, her Box Stock Purple Plate number, 3, reflects her favorite racer, Dale Earnhardt, who died in 2001 at the Daytona 500.

Her father, Danny Hall, drove Go-Karts and Drag Racers for about 15 years. A cabinet maker, his Custom Wood Products, Inc. , can be found on the Internet. He also built the trailer used to transport his daughter’s Go-Kart and that of her sister, Lindsay.

Megan’s father and her cousin, Zachary Davis, are her pit crew. Lindsay has begun practicing and plans to start racing within the next month.

Megan also races at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA., and the Cross Roads Motorplex in Jasper, FL.

She has plans for the future. When she’s 10, she wants to graduate to mini cup racers and then, when she’s 16, she wants to go to late models.
